Now that I’m used to not going to work and my daily routine is a little more settled, I expect November to be a little more productive than October. And I’m also panicking a bit because the year is almost over and I’m not even close to finishing the Goodreads Reading Challenge. Technically I’m eight books behind and two months is enough to finish but if my reading pace is like October that’s not gonna happen. So, buckle up, İrem, it will be a month full of reading.

LULLABY: Since I quite enjoyed Daniel Barnett’s Nightmareland in October (review coming soon), I want to continue the series by reading at least one more installment. Next up; Lullaby.
PROJECT HAIL MARY: Even though it was on my October TBR, I skipped Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary to make some more room for horror books. In November, I’m absolutely reading it.
MONSTERS OF MEN: I am great at starting series but terrible at finishing them. Patrick Ness’ Chaos Walking is a very good example of that. I have no idea why I stopped reading this series. I really liked the other two books, The Knife of Never Letting Go and The Ask and The Answer. In November I will complete the Chaos Walking series by reading Monsters of Men. Seriously.
PARABLE OF THE TALENTS: The other series I want to finish is Octavia E. Butler’s Earthseed series. The first book, Parable of the Sower was so-so for me. Although I found the ideas she presented interesting and the environment she created very realistic, I had a hard time caring about the main character and believing what she was doing so I gave it 3.5 stars. But I definitely want to continue the series. I’ll definitely check out Butler’s other books when I’m done with Earthseed as well.
I canceled my audiobook subscriptions because I no longer have commuting time and can’t focus on the books I listen to while doing other work. So it’s gonna be physical books/ebooks for me now. Maybe if I start using the dreadmill again. Grammarly wants me to change it to treadmill. No Grammarly, no.
So, here are my plans for November. I’m thinking of starting The Dragon Reborn if I find time, but it’s hardly likely because I haven’t finished The Shadow of the Gods yet. We’ll see.
