Hey, fellow book enthusiasts,
It’s been a solid two years since my last post and I bet you didn’t even realize I had vanished into the abyss of inactivity. Well, surprise – I’m back!
I chose to step away from the realm of book reviewing, not due to chaos or unforeseen events (well, as much as life can be in a house with five cats), but simply because the desire to put pen to paper—or in this case, fingers to keyboard—had waned. Life just handed me a good dose of the “I-don’t-feel-like-it” bug, and I embraced it.
So, what have I been up to during my literary hibernation? In short, not much. My life stayed its usual calm, quiet, and happy self. No dramatic events, no unexpected twists—I simply took a step back from the blogging sphere without much fanfare. Admittedly, my absence has gone unnoticed, given that my readership wasn’t exactly breaking the internet.
Despite my radio silence, one thing remained constant: my love for reading. Books continued to be my steadfast companions, offering escape, knowledge, and entertainment in equal measure. I was still a reader, just not a reviewer.
As we embark on a brand-new year, I find myself standing at the threshold of my small literary corner, dusting off the cobwebs and contemplating a return to the keyboard. Why now? Well, why not? Sometimes a hiatus is all you need to rediscover the joy of doing something you love without the pressure of performance metrics or deadlines.
In truth, I’ve missed the connection that comes from sharing thoughts with fellow book lovers, exchanging recommendations, and engaging in delightful discussions. So, here I am, tentatively stepping back into the realm of book reviews.
To those who stumble upon these words, whether familiar faces or new acquaintances, I invite you to join me once again in this humble space dedicated to the celebration of books.
